Voxox Partnership to Provide Telecom Services in Africa

San Diego-based Voxox said that it is on a team that will provide telecom services in Africa — specifically the West Coast countries of Gambia, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

The company’s partners are Telereliance Communications LLC and Teleficient Communications LLC. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

Voxox offers voice over Internet protocol, also called VOIP, as well as applications including messaging, fax, voicemail and media sharing. It’s described itself as “Skype on steroids.” The business serves both business and consumers.

The company’s previous name was TelCentris. The company changed its name in June. Bryan Hertz is CEO and a company co-founder.
