USMC Investigating MCAS Miramar Pilot's Inappropriate Flight Path

The USMC will determine if any disciplinary action is to be taken at the conclusion of the investigation.

The U.S Marine Corps is investigating inappropriate flight pattern images made by a pilot over the Salton Sea.

A statement from the MCAS Miramar 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing said a Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101 pilot was flying a T-34C over the sea on Tuesday morning when the image was captured.

"Obscene or inappropriate actions, flight or not, do not reflect the core values we hold as marines," 3rd MAW spokesperson  Major Josef Patterson Maj. Patterson said.

Patterson said the USMC will determine if any disciplinary action is to be taken at the conclusion of the investigation.
