Two of the properties that the new owners of the San Diego Union-Tribune bought from Copley Press last month have hit the market, according to a published report.
Both properties, including the site of one of the paper's North County bureaus, are being offered for considerably higher prices than they were sold for to Platinum Equity, reported the voiceofsandiego.org.
A property on Herschel Avenue in La Jolla that sold for $4.75 million is now on the market for $6.5 million. The other office, which is on Avenida Eninas in Carlsbad, was sold for $1.7 million and is selling for $2.6 million.
An analyst told the voicofsandiego.org that he believes the "properties were purchased as part of a package deal along with the newspaper" and that their actual value may be higher than what they were sold for.
