Turnovers Doom Toreros in NIT Loss to Memphis

Olin Carter III scored a team-high 17 points for USD.

San Diego's first ever NIT appearance ended just over 48 hours after it started.

Sam Scholl's team flew nearly across the country to take on Memphis, and got handed a 74-60 loss by the Tigers. 

The Toreros showed the ill effects of the quick turnaround in their performance. They racked up 22 turnovers, including a combined 13 from seniors Isaiah Wright and Isaiah Pineiro. USD shot just 22-for-60 from the field (36.7 percent) in the loss.

Olin Carter III led the way with 17 points, all of which came in the second half.

Jeremiah Martin scored 21 points to lead the way for the Tigers.

San Diego's 21 wins made this the third winningest season in program history. It was their highest win total since 2008.
