Trouble Brewing After Gov. Shortchanges Calif. Inmates

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is in legal hot water for getting cheap on California inmates.

A federal appeals court judge ruled Wednesday that the governor can be held in contempt for refusing to pay to improve health care for inmates.

His administration attempted to block the hearing, but the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals put a stop to that.

Schwarzenegger refused to turn over a down payment of $250 million sought by a federal court-appointed receiver, The Associated Press reported.
