A one-year-old who fell out of a second story window in Lakeside was taken to the hospital, Heartland Fire officials said.

The incident happened at approximately 12:19 p.m. Wednesday on the 11000 block of Mine Shaft Drive in Lakeside.

A neighbor said the little girl was not responsive at first, but by the time first responders arrive, the one-year-old was moving and crying.
