Power Restored to Thousands in Ramona

Over 4,000 SDG&E customers were affected by a power outage Sunday

Thousands of Ramona residents were without power Sunday afternoon after an outage occurred.

SDG&E officials said 4,501 customers were affected by three outages which began just after 10 a.m.

The outages were reported in Highland Valley, Mesa Grande, La Jolla Indian Reservation, San Diego Country Estates, Iron Mountain, Santa Ysabel, and Barona.

Just before noon, power was restored to a little more than 2,000 customers.

By 1:30 p.m., power had been restored to the majority of those affected by the outage.

SDG&E officials said the outage was caused in part by problems in an electric system.
