Two power outages effecting central and northern San Diego

Two separate power outages in parts of San Diego county left over 2500 customers without power Thursday morning starting at about 8 a.m.

As of 8:30 a.m., Ocean Beach, Lindbergh Field, Old Town and Hillcrest experienced an outage as a result of a suspected problem in the overhead electrical system.

The outage left 1096 customers without power, according to SDG&E. By 10:30 a.m., the power was restored to all customers.

Airport officials say the outage has not affected their operations.
