NoLIbs is trying to reduce crime since the brutal murder of Sabina Rose O'Donnell in June.

A family of five was bound and gagged with duct tape by three thieves during a home invasion robbery in Clairemont Mesa West, according to police. One of the victims is a 10-year-old child.

The robbers, who were wearing ski masks, entered through the back door of the home in the 4000 block of Mount Everest Boulevard about 9 a.m., Lt. Andra Brown said.

They bound the four adults and child, stole money and fled through the front door, police said. No vehicle was seen or heard leaving the scene.

It took the victims about 30 minutes to free themselves and call police, Lt. Brown said.

One of the victims, who had a pre-existing medical problem, was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.

A second victim complained of minor pain.
