The One Who Got Away on a Scooter

Police and FBI agents were looking for a gunman Saturday who robbed a Bank of America in Ranchos Penasquitos and got away on a Razor-style scooter, police said.

The holdup at 13205 Black Mountain Road was reported about 11:30 a.m. Friday, San Diego police Sgt. Kerry Tom said.

The white, 20-something suspect, who had a blue bandanna over the lower part of his face, was carrying a dark-colored pistol and robbed a teller, he said.

The suspect was seen fleeing on Razor-type scooter, Tom said. He was described as light-eyed, tanned and about about 6 feet tall.  He was wearing a purple beanie, a black, hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
