Teens Cuffed After Golf Cart Joyride

Officers caught up with the pair driving about 3 mph a few miles down the road

Two teenagers could face charges of grand theft auto for taking a joyride in a stolen golf cart.

San Diego police officers say the teenagers were discovered driving the cart at a speed of about 3 miles per hour near Sea World Drive.

They were stopped about four miles away from the Town and Country Resort where staff had reported the cart stolen around midnight.

The teens were sent home to their parents, but according to police they could be going to juvenile hall if the hotel decides to press charges.
