Four teenagers have been arrested in connection with a girl found in a canyon earlier this week, according to police.
Two of the suspects are 17-year-old males and one 14-year-old female. The fourth suspect is Raatib Prince, 18. The juveniles were charged with various sexual assault offenses and booked into Juvenile Hall. Prince was charged with sexual assault and booked into county jail.
The incident occurred on Monday, Nov. 26 when police found an unconscious 16-year-old girl lying in the canyon near 300 49th Street. Police said the girl was sexually assaulted by several other teenagers. Although she was unconscious for several hours, none of the suspects called for help, according to officials.
She was hospitalized once authorities found her and she remained unconscious until the following day.
Detectives believe the teenagers were consuming large amounts of alcohol prior to the incident.
Police did not reveal the condition of the victim and the investigation is ongoing.
