A 15-year-old was shot in the back while walking down the 3200 block of J Street around 7 p.m. Saturday, San Diego police confirmed.
The teen heard shots and starting running before he was hit.
The boy ran to a neighbor's house, and they called the police.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There is no suspect description.
