Escondido police are investigating the stabbing death of a teenager who attended a house party Saturday night. Investigators said Julian Austin Rodriguez,17, was stabbed shortly before midnight outside a party at 2035 Felicita Avenue in Escondido.
Officers questioned several party-goers were detained but made no arrests. According to witnesses, a fight broke out at the party and Rodriquez, a Riverside County resident, was stabbed in the torso. Rodriguez stumbled a few feet from the party and collapsed in a yard, according to police.
Neighbor Danny Price said, "I had no idea what was going on people were saying there was a DJ supposed to be a big party."

Price wasn't at the party, but heard the commotion that followed. "People started leaving, about 8 squad cars came up right after that it was all hell from there," he said.

"It's kinda scary. This is a nice neighborhood, prett quiet," he said. "Nothing you would expect to happen around here, but I guess you never know what's going on."
