Teen Arrested in Coronado for OC Parents' Shooting Deaths

Bradford and Andra Sachs were found shot to death on Feb. 9 in the multi-million dollar San Juan Capistrano home

A teen accused of shooting his parents and brother in an Orange County home has been arrested in San Diego’s Coronado area.

Ashton Colby Sachs, 19, was taken into custody Thursday on murder charges in connection with the double homicide of his parents Bradford and Andra Sachs.

They were found shot to death on Feb. 9 in their multi-million dollar San Juan Capistrano home, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock.

The Sachs’ 8-year-old son was also shot in the incident, and he was taken to the hospital for critical injuries.

After a month-long investigation, the sheriff’s homicide team found Ashton in the San Diego area, interviewed him "at length" and arrested him.

"It became clear that Ashton Sachs was our suspect," said case investigator Justin Montano told NBC affiliate KNBC. "We belive that he is our only suspect."

Investigators said Ashton was not living in his parents’ home, but was a college student in Washington state. He was living in Seattle since fall 2013.

No motive has been identified in the alleged homicide, according to Hallock, and there are no more suspects in the crime.

Ashton was booked into the Orange County Jail, where he is being held without bail. He is schedule to be in court on March 10.

The couple were described by neighbors as being “the best family.” The Sachs had five children, including two teenage daughters who lived with them and another son in college.

According to KNBC, the San Juan Capistrano neighborhood where the couple was found dead is made up of multi-million dollar homes and has been featured on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Orange County.”
