A former North County high school teacher admits he molested three teenagers on a club volleyball team he coached.
Prosecutors say Steven Antony, 38, pleaded guilty to a pair of child molestation counts, and three counts of statutory rape.
Antony taught at San Pasqual High in Escondido and coached the "Sunstorm Volleyball Club" -- an after-school youth organization in Vista.
Investigators got a tip last September he was having sex with one of his players at the Sunstorm volleyball club. Antony admitted to Los Angeles police in 2002 that he had a sexual relationship with a minor, according to prosecutors.
Last month, one of the teenagers, whom he allegedly had sex with, spoke about her relationship with the man who was once her coach.
"I love him and I wish him the best, and I want this to be over soon," the teen said.
The girl said she was 16 years old when the relationship began.
"He doesn't blame anything on me," she said. "He takes complete responsibility for everything."
The defendant faces a maximum of five years and eight months in prison.
