California Highway Patrol officers investigated a vehicle described as suspicious Monday along northbound Interstate 805, south of State Route 905 in the Otay Mesa area of San Diego.
Someone called the authorities at 10:17 a.m. reporting an abandoned vehicle on the shoulder with “suspicious writing” according to the CHP.
Cal Trans closed two lanes of the I-805.
San Diego Fire-Rescue bomb squad officials were called to the scene.
A CHP spokesperson would not go into specific details on what made the vehicle suspicious but it was "enough to bring the teams out."
The vehicle was deemed to be safe.
No injuries were reported.
