Suspicious Man in Ramona Had Airsoft Gun

A man was taken into custody Thursday morning after he was reported as having a gun on a Ramona street.

A CHP officer responded to the report in the 1100 block of San Vicente Road at about 7 a.m., according to the San Diego Sheriff's Department.

A member of the department's Crisis Negotiations Team talked the man out of dropping the gun he was seen with.

The man was taken into custody shortly after. Authorities later learned it was an airsoft gun. There were no injuries and no schools were placed on lockdown.
