Businesses in a Rancho San Diego strip mall were evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a suspicious device was reported at a Goodwill store.
The device was discovered in the store on the 2600 block of Jamacha Rd. at about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
A sheriff's bomb and arson squad responded to the scene. They found the item to be nothing more than a bag of trash.
