Suspected Hair Product Thieves Arrested

27 business affected by beauty supply robbers

Three people suspected of stealing expensive hair products and beauty supplies were arrested earlier this month.

Police believe the suspects broke the windows of 27 salons in the Hillcrest, Mission Hills and San Carlos neighborhoods. The suspects allegedly stole the products and then sold them on the internet, a statement from the San Diego Police department said.

The robberies began in April and continued into late October.

On November 3, police arrested two suspects in their Normal Heights apartment and charged with burglary, parole violations, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance for sale.

A third suspect was then arrested in Fairbanks Ranch. He was arrested on similar charges.

Upon investigating, detectives found the stolen property in the three suspects’ apartments.

All three are scheduled for a preliminary hearing on November 29.
