Suspect in Clairemont, Kearny Mesa Armed Robberies on the Loose

A man robbed two stores, four miles apart, on the same street

A suspect involved in two armed robberies in the Clairemont area Tuesday afternoon is still at large.

The man went into Fred Loya Insurance on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard with a handgun, according to the San Diego Police Department.

He demanded money and was given an unknown amount before fleeing.

Less than an hour later, police received a report of a robbery in North Clairemont.

SDPD believe the same man robbed VIP Spa four miles west of Fred Loya Insurance.

It is unclear how much money he stole from VIP Spa at this time.

He then fled toward a nearby Krispy Kreme, police said.

The suspect was last seen wearing a hoodie, burgundy pants, black shoes, a baseball hat, and sunglasses.

SDPD described the man as 5 feet 6 inches tall and in his thirties.

Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
