    Suspect Sought in Fatal Hit-and-Run

    Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance to locate a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident.

    Authorities said 67-year-old Carlos Gomez was crossing the street with a large group of family members near the 1000 block of East Lincoln Avenue around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 1 when a truck or SUV struck and fatally injured the man. The vehicle and its driver fled the scene without stopping.

    The investigation has revealed that the vehicle is a Toyota 4Runner, possibly between 1991 to 1995 models, with a chrome strip around the wheel wells. There is no suspect information at this time.
