Suspect Sneaks in, Tries to Sexually Assault Woman in Her Bed: Cops

The woman says she was asleep in her University Heights home when the incident started

 A woman was awakened in her University Heights home Sunday by a man trying to sexually assault her, according to San Diego Police. 

The victim told officers the suspect sneaked into her house near Louisiana Street and Meade Avenue around 2:45 a.m. Sunday.

When he reached the woman’s bed and tried to assault her, the woman said she screamed and the suspect ran away, possibly fleeing on a bicycle.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned man in his 20s, about 5-foot-5 or 5-foot-6 with a thin build and “buzzed” short, dark hair.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing jeans and a black, nylon-type jacket, the woman said.
