Stone Brewing Co. is hiring for its new restaurant location opening this month near downtown San Diego.
Since the first keg of Stone Pale Ale was sold out of San Marcos in July 1996, Stone has grown to become the 11th largest craft brewery in the U.S.
Headed by co-founder Greg Koch and Steve Wagner, the company has been named in the
San Diego Business Journal's "Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies" nine years in a row.
And this week’s job fair is proof with Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens looking to fill 200 positions.
"We are excited to open our second restaurant and brewery location because it will give our fans in San Diego a more convenient location for them to visit and for many of the San Diego tourists an opportunity to experience all we have to offer," said Steve Robbins, Stone Brewing Co.'s Director of Hospitality.
Open positions range from bookkeepers and bartenders to sous chefs and line cooks. The jobs are with Moana Restaurant Group, the company managing the new restaurant.
"Finding a location in San Diego that was large enough to us to house a small brewery, restaurant and gardens was not an easy task," Robbins said.

He called the location - with its 23,000+ square-feet - a "perfect fit."
"It’s close enough to the airport and other neighborhoods that tourists may also join us for our locally grown, organic food and quality craft beer."
A job fair scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at the Liberty Station location on Truxton Road will also help recruit candidates for about 50 other positions within the company ranging from drivers to sales and marketing.

At the Stone Company Store locations in Escondido, Oceanside, Pasadena and South Park customers can purchase kegs and growlers refills along with other company merchandise.
Owners also recently announced that Stone Brewing Co. will break ground this year on a hotel.
The specialty 48-50 room hotel will be located across the street from Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens with plans to open to guests by the end of 2014.
