An undercover prostitution sting netted six arrests in Escondido, police said.
Detectives from the Escondido Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit acted as “Johns” and were quickly approached by the women who began to solicit sex acts for money, said police.
Five of the six women were processed and released with a citation. Shaneka Smith was booked into the Vista Detention Facility because of an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
