Six Tijuana College Students Killed Execution Style

8 others wounded in Friday night shooting outside of bar.

Six Mexican college students were shot and killed execution style outside of a bar in Tijuana, according to Tijuana Police.  Eight others were wounded. The victims attended the university located in the Otay neighborhood of Tijuana.

The shooting happened at Bar Utopia just after 10 p.m. Friday night.

Police told  the Frontera newspaper in Tijuana that the suspects were armed with automatic weapons including an AK-47.  They say the victims were lined up and then shot.  Right now, there is no clear motive for the shooting and no word if it's connected to the recent string of killings related to Tijuana's drug cartels.

Witness told police that the suspects were driving a small white compact car and were wearing masks. They were apparently threatening people outside of the bar prior to the shooting.

Seven ambulances took the victims to Tijuana General Hospital, which is now being guarded by federal police.
