A 53-year-old woman was hit and killed by a car on H Street near Hilltop Drive in Chula Vista around 7:44 p.m. Friday, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.
Despite life-saving efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver stopped and was cooperative with police. They were taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries, police said.
The woman was walking in the roadway as the driver approached westbound on H Street, police said.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the Chula Vista Police Traffic division.
