Shot Fired Leads to Panic Downtown

Two men got into a little hot water Monday afternoon, after witnesses reported hearing a shot fired in a downtown apartment complex.

The two men were on the roof of a building on the Northwest corner of Eighth and Broadway when they were seen with a gun, according to San Diego Police. Police got to the scene, established a perimeter and blocked off traffic. Police later found that it was actually an AirSoft gun that had been fired. Three guns were recovered at the scene.

The men were taken into custody, then cited and released. No one was injured.
