Shooting Investigated at Mission Valley Resort

Police were investigating a shooting that occurred at a hotel in Mission Valley early Wednesday morning.

The sound of a shot being fired could be heard at the Mission Valley Resort on Hotel Circle at about 5:45 a.m., according to the San Diego Police Department.

One man was taken to the hospital with a gun shot wound to his leg. His injury was considered non-life-threatening.

According to police, a woman who the victim had just met walked into his hotel room accompanied by two other men. One of the men shot the victim in the leg and then left.

The woman fled after the shooting in a dark-colored Honda and is still outstanding. She is described as about 37 years old, 5'8'' tall with a heavy build. She was wearing a dark colored sweater and jeans.

One of the victim's friends called 911.

The suspect who shot the victim is described as about 30 years old, 5'2'' tall with a thin build, shaved head and wearing a dark blue jogging suit with a hood.

The second suspect was a man about 37 years old, 6' tall and 240 pounds. He was wearing black clothing.

Police are still investigating the shooting.
