Cops Release Sketch of San Diego River Sexual Battery Suspect

A woman jogging alone reported being touched by a stranger riding a mountain bike not once, but twice

Detectives released a composite sketch of a man suspected of grabbing a female jogger along the San Diego river bike path last week.

The woman told police she was running alone between Sports Arena and Sunset Cliffs Boulevard just after 11 a.m. Wednesday when a cyclist riding past her touched her buttocks.

Officers say the suspect hid down the bike path and then came up behind the woman and touched her in the same area for a second time.

The woman told police the man then got away heading west toward Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.

Almost a week after the incident, police released a composite sketch and a description: About 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160 pounds riding a black road bike. The man was said to have a facial hair in the shape of a new beard with a gap in his front teeth and freckles.
