Setting Up Shop Could Get Tougher

Tattoo parlors, hiring halls and several other types of businesses may soon find it more complicated, and more expensive, to set up shop in Vista, according to the North County Times.

City staff members want to require such businesses to obtain special-use permits before opening, the paper reported. That would give the city power to impose conditions or reject proposals deemed inappropriate.

The Planning Commission unanimously supported the idea Tuesday. The City Council will consider it next month.
