Serial Bank Robber Wanted

Three banks struck in just three weeks and investigators believe one man is responsible

One man is believed to be responsible for three bank robberies in San Diego in just over three weeks.

The FBI, San Diego police and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department are on the lookout for a man wanted for robbing two banks – one in Pacific Beach and another on Mission Gorge Road.

The most recent robbery was Monday, when a man walked into the Home Bank of California on Garnet Avenue just after 9 a.m.

The suspect asked for money and lifted his shirt as if he had a weapon according to the FBI.

He received some money and then walked out of the bank.

Investigators believe this suspect is the same man wanted in the Jan. 17 and Jan. 23 robberies at the Pacific Western Bank on Mission Gorge Road.
