On his last domestic trip as secretary of defense, Chuck Hagel is stopping in San Diego for a town hall with U.S. Marines and sailors in Miramar Tuesday.
At 1:50 p.m. Hagel will make remarks, answer questions, pass out coins and take photos.
The visit is part of Hagel’s farewell tour to thank service members of the nation’s armed forces and their families.
Pentagon Press Secretary Navy Rear Adm. John Kirby said Hagel and his wife, Lilibet, will visit personnel who are parts of some of the nation’s most critical missions during their tour.
MCAS Miramar is home to the first Marine Expeditionary Force.
