An elementary school in El Cajon is going to close its doors in June due to budget cuts and decreased funding from the state.
The Cajon Valley Union School District voted five-to-zero Tuesday to shut down Cuyamaca Elementary at the end of the semester.
District officials say that closing Cuyamaca Elementary School will save the district $446 thousand in the next school year.
The district closed Ballantyne Elementary in 2004.
