Search for Suspect in Series of Burglaries at Lumber Stores in Solana Beach

The suspect is wanted for five other burglaries at Dixieline Lumber and Home Center store in San Diego County

Authorities are asking for the public's help to find a suspect wanted in connection to at least two burglaries at a lumber store in Solana Beach and several others around San Diego County.

The North Coastal Sheriff's Station and the San Diego County Crime Stoppers released a picture of the suspect on Wednesday. 

The burglaries occurred nearly a month apart from each other at the Dixieline Lumber and Home Center store located on Lomas Santa Fe Drive in Solana Beach. 

On Sept. 15, the man walked into the store around 2:15 p.m. and stole a Milwaukee combo tool kit and a Makita combo took kit. The total value of both kits is more than $800, officials said.

The suspect escaped through the store's emergency exit and drove off in a black Toyota Camry.

Authorities say the man went back to the same store on Oct. 19 around 1 p.m. and attempted to steal a DeWalt drill kit. 

He tried to escape through the emergency exit but was was deterred by employees who recognized him the previous burglary. He then took off through the front door and drove away in a red Honda Civic. 

The vehicle had been reported stolen in La Mesa.

The suspect is wanted in connection to at least five other burglaries at Dixieline Lumber and Home Center store around San Diego County.

He is described to be between 28-40 years old, around 5-feet 9-inches tall and weighing approximately 175-210 pounds. he has brown hair, a mustache and beard.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
