Scripps Ranch Pizza Restaurant Offering Reward for Burglary Suspect

The manager of a Scripps Ranch business damaged in a weekend break-in says the business has been victimized nine times in the last two years.

It's been a hotspot for homemade pizza for more than 20 years but Pazzo's Pizza has also become a target for thieves.

The most recent incident was Saturday, July 18 at 3:30 a.m. when the would-be burglar smashes a door at the restaurant on Scripps Trail Road.

On surveillance video, the suspect can be seen heading for the cash register.

The owners of the restaurant have been here before. In fact, they’ve offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest of a suspect in a series of burglaries between Nov. 2013 and July 2014.

"We are sick and tired of these attacks, and ask anyone with any sort of knowledge to come forward with information," Manager Bill Feather.

This most recent break-in left behind damage like broken windows and cash registers. Only once has a would-be thief gotten away with any cash, according to employees.

"We want to emphasize, there is no money on hand that is accessible overnight," Feather said.

Employee Donald Thomas said the break-ins can affect business.

“I hope whatever you were doing this for, I hope you got it,” Thomas said referring to the suspect. “Because a lot more people were harmed in this event than you just breaking in the window.”
