Four Escape Santee House Fire

One resident woke up after coughing from the smoke

Fire investigators are trying to figure out what caused an early morning house fire in Santee that displaced four people.

The fire started at a home in the 10000 block of Santana Street around 4 a.m. Friday.

One resident woke up after coughing from the smoke.

He woke up the other three people in the home and everyone was able to get out safely.

Two of the four people were treated for smoke inhalation but are expected to be okay.
