San Ysidro High School Student Found Safe

    Two patrol cars sit outside San Ysidro High School after officers received a call about a missing student.

    San Diego police used a helicopter to search the canyon behind San Ysidro High School for a student reported missing Wednesday.

    Officers arrived at the school on Airway Road around 10:30 a.m. after they received a call that the 14-year-old boy was missing.

    The teenager, who has multiple sclerosis, was last seen around 8:30 a.m. when he was dropped off at school by his parents.  The student never showed up to his first period class.

    After searching the canyon, officers told NBCSanDiego the student was found safe.
