Man Busted for Party in Boss' Warehouse: Officials

Employee accused of throwing party inside boss' San Marcos warehouse

When deputies arrived to the Hirsch Piping Supply warehouse on Linda Vista Drive early Sunday morning, they discovered 100 to 200 people and a party with plenty of alcohol inside.

After some investigation, deputies say they discovered the 8000 square foot space was being used for a hosted party with three beer kegs, lots of bottled alcohol, beer pong tables and an entrance fee.

Eduardo Hidalgo, 25, was arrested and charged under the social host ordinance, officially known as Unsupervised Consumption of Alcohol or Controlled Substance by Minor at Private Party, Public Place or Place Open to the Public.

Hidalgo is an employee of Hirsch Piping Supply according to San Diego County sheriffโ€™s deputies.

Officials said they found $886 at the party โ€“ what they believed were Hidalgoโ€™s proceeds from the event.

Social host violations may carry a fine of up to $1,000 on the first offense.

Subsequent violations carry a fine of up to $2,000 or up to 32 hours of community service or up to 6 months in jail.
