A helicopter from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department circled a neighborhood in San Marcos Friday morning, alerting residents to be on the lookout for a car burglary suspect.
Deputies were in the area of Iron Horse Drive and Mendocino Drive beginning at 7:30 a.m. looking for a suspect and an older-model silver Pathfinder.
Officials said the suspect was believed to be on foot somewhere in the area.
Residents were not asked to evacuate their homes deputies said. They also did not say whether the suspect was believed to be armed.
