San Diego State University placed a fraternity on suspension after a student was injured at the fraternity house, the university announced late Friday night.
The school placed the Kappa Alpa fraternity on interim suspension to investigate a report of a student who required medical attention after being at the fraternity house, SDSU spokeswoman La Monica Everett-Haynes said.
βThe health and wellbeing of all members of the campus community is of utmost importance to San Diego State University,β she said in a statement.
The university did not initially name the fraternity, but NBC 7 has confirmed it was the Kappa Alpha fraternity.
In a statement to NBC 7, the fraternity's national chapter said it is looking into the incident and βwill be glad to report back when there are more facts known.β
SDSU did not specify what happened or when but did say it is reaching out to the person and the family to βoffer support and resources.β
