Pack up the kids for some fun and save some dough at the same time-- San Diego Museum Month is underway. You can visit the fish in a world-famous aquarium, check out the new Children's Museum or the Museum of Making Music (did you know there was such a thing?!)-- all for half price!
During the month of February, the San Diego Museum Council has teamed up with Macy’s to offer half price admission and more than 30 participating institutions around town. A special Museum Month brochure is now available at any San Diego area Macy’s, complete with the free Museum Month pass that visitors can take to any of the participating institutions for half-priced admission.
Museum Month was created in 1989 to promote awareness of the region’s museums, historical sites, educational institutions and cultural offerings. The Council says more than 17,000 people took part last year.
Participating Macy’s include: Horton Plaza, Fashion Valley, North County Fair in Escondido, Mission Valley, Plaza Bonita in National City, Chula Vista, Otay Ranch, El Camino Real in Carlsbad, University Town Center, Grossmont Center, and Parkway Plaza in El Cajon, Temecula and El Centro.
