San Diego Flight Diverted to Portland

An unspecified threat onboard a flight from Seattle to San Diego forced the plane to divert to Portland Saturday morning.

All 58 passengers and baggage on the Compass Airlines flight had to exit the plane for rescreening.

Law enforcement boarded the flight following the incident.

"Flight #5733 was diverted to Portland out of an abundance of caution as a result of a security concern. The flight landed without incident in Portland at approximately 9:30 a.m. local time where it was met by local authorities. The aircraft and customers have been screened and cleared by law enforcement," Compass Airlines said in a statement.

The plane arrived here in San Diego around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
