In the Cocos Fire - San Marcos, Escondido:
- 2,520 acres
- 80 percent contained as of 6 p.m., with full containment expected by Sunday. Officials say fire activity is limited to smoldering areas within the perimeter.
- Evacuations in effect for Coronado Hills
- 1 arrest - man officials believe was attempting to loot evacuated homes
- Last evacuation shelter at Mission Hills High School closed at 7 p.m.
- 39 homes, 7 commercial buildings destroyed
In the Tomahawk, Pulgas, Combat Fires - Camp Pendleton:
Las Pulgas Fire:
- 15,000 acres - as of Saturday, 10 p.m.
- 42 percent contained
Tomahawk Fire:
- 6,500 acres - as of Saturday, 10 p.m.
- 93 percent containment
Combat Fire (formerly Talega Fire and also known as San Mateo Fire)
- 1,500 acres - as of Saturday, 10 p.m.
- 55 percent contained
- All evacuations lifted
Collectively, the three fires have burned roughly 23,000 acres or 18 percent off base, according to Camp Pendleton officials.
In the Poinsettia Fire, San Diego Complex - Carlsbad:
- 100 percent contained as of 5 p.m. Saturday
- 600 acres burned
- 8 single family homes were destroyed or damaged, 3 other homes sustained minor damage, an 18-unit apartment building was destroyed, an 18-unit apartment building was damaged, 2 commercial buildings destroyed/substantially was damaged, 1 modular building was destroyed
- Started in the area of El Camino Real and Poinsettia Lane
- At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, all evacuations were lifted
- As of Friday morning, there were three points where Carlsbad Police Department was still controlling access to residents for safety reasons: Black Rail Poinsettia, Black Rail Sapphire and Poinsettia Brigantine
- Estimated damage at $22.5 million and counting
- The Carlsbad Police Department has established a Tip Hotline for the Poinsettia Fire. Highway Fire in Bonsall, Fallbrook area:
- 100 percent contained as of 6 p.m. Saturday
- 386 acres
- No homes destroyed or damaged
- Started: Old Hwy 395 north of White Lilac
- Heavy fuels have not burned since Gopher Canyon Fire (1970)
River Fire in Oceanside:
- 105 acres - 100 percent contained as of Thursday
- Fire contained to riverbed
- 1 arrest - man accused of attempting to fuel the fire
Bernardo Fire:
- 100 percent containment, as of 7:40 a.m. Friday
- 1,548 acres
- 50 structures were threatened
- Started: Nighthawk Lane, southwest of Rancho Bernardo
- 3 injuries per Cal Fire
- Evacuations lifted
- Official cause: backhoe working on construction project
