Woman Identified in Fairmount Park Homicide: SDPD

San Diego police have identified the body of a 51-year-old woman who was victim of an apparent homicide Saturday.

SDPD responded to a call about an assault around 5:30 p.m. at the 1600 block of 38th Street in Fairmount Park.

The woman, identified as April Davis of San Diego, was found unconscious on the floor of the apartment with trauma to her upper body. Despite paramedics' efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her husband, 55-year-old Dana Davis was found in the apartment and arrested for questioning.

He has since been booked into the County Jail for her murder.

San Diego Police Homicide Detectives are investigating the incident.
