The San Diego Zoo shared some sad news this week: One of its black jaguars has died.
The large cat named โOrsonโ was suffering from multiple issues, and zoo officials said at 22 years old, his geriatric condition was affecting his quality of life.
Doctors decided to put him down on Wednesday morning.
Orson lived about ten years over the typical jaguarโs life expectancy, and he became a staple at the zoo during his time there.
On Facebook, the zoo asked people to take a moment to offer condolences to staff โwho will be feeling this loss.โ
โRIP big guy, weโll miss you dearly,โ the social media post read.
