The Holiday Travel Blues

Pack some extra snacks and entertainment

The weather may be perfect in San Diego, but conditions around the country have holiday travel off to a rough start.

First it was the East Coast, now it's the Midwest being socked with snow. We don't have to worry about wild winter weather here in San Diego, but it is having an impact on people flying out of Lindbergh Field.

In Chicago, more than 200 flights have been cancelled and there is practically white out conditions in Iowa and Minnesota, where storms are expected to drop several more feet of snow in some areas.

In addition to the white stuff, people are dealing with high winds. Tens of thousands of customers in West Virginia and Virginia were still without power on Wednesday. So you might want to take some extra snacks and entertainment with you.

Travelers are advised to check their flight on Lindbergh Field’s Web site before heading to the airport.
