A rollover car accident on I-8 Tuesday evening forced the closure of three lanes, California Highway Patrol officials said.
A Sig Alert was issued at about 5 p.m. on I-8 near Jackson Drive in La Mesa.
Multiple vehicles were involved in the accident and medics were requested for patients with minor injuries, according to CHP.

The concrete divider was also damaged in the crash.
Three lanes of the eastbound I-8 are closed for emergency vehicles and traffic was backed up on the interstate. Delays of up to two hours were expected, according to CHP.
