A lawsuit against convicted killer Scott Peterson over the death of his pregnant wife has been dropped.
Laci Peterson's parents, Dennis and Sharon Rocha, dropped the wrongful death claim against their former son-in-law last week, according to a Stanislaus County Superior Court official.
A hearing had been scheduled for Thursday.
Peterson is on death row at San Quentin State Prison. He was convicted in 2004 of murdering his wife and their unborn child. His conviction is on appeal.
In his videotaped deposition for the civil trial, he denied killing Laci Peterson and asserted his Fifth Amendment right against self incrimination 195 times.
Attorneys involved in the case could not be immediately reached for comment Thursday.
