Body found in Pala ruled a murder

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for information in the murder investigation of a dead man’s body which was found Friday morning in Pala.

A postal worker found the body of Javier Hernandez Rojas, 31, alongside a road in the 3900 block of Pala Temecula Road just before 10:30 a.m., authorities said.

Rojas’ body did not appear to have any fatal injuries, they added.

It wasn’t until Sunday that San Diego County sheriff’s reported Rojas had been murdered.

Rojas' last known residence was in Orange County, authorities said.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest.
